Medjugorje Prayer Group in Cardiff

Contact Name : Romilly Fenlon
E-Mail address : r.fenlon@ntlworld.com
Contact Telephone Number : 0292 046 0189
Group Leader : Michael Bamber
Frequency of Prayer Meeting : WEEKLY                             Time : 7:30 – 9:00 pm

"Our prayer group started around 2002 through our visits to Medjugorje.  As our prayer life has grown we have included the Divine Mercy and for a short period Anne from Ireland. Throughout this time we have always read Our Lady’s messages and said the Rosary.  It was a great delight to receive the Prayer cards from Medjugorje Calling and we now follow this framework.  As our meetings are held in a private house our numbers are limited to 10 people.  Fr. Michael Cronin has supported us throughout the years and occasionally visits us on our prayer night.  For the last 18 months we were very blessed to have Fr. John Bland I.C. in our group, but he has now been moved to Derryswood (Guildford).  He was a great help with our Bible readings.  About twice a year we have a House Mass for the group."

The Power of Praying the Rosary

"When you pray 'Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now...', the Blessed Mother comes
Instantly to your side to pray with you. And she does not come alone. She
Brings angels with her. And not just one or two for she is the Queen of Angels, so choirs of angels come with her. And she and Jesus are joined at the heart and cannot be separated so she brings Jesus with her. And Jesus Cannot be separated from the Trinity so He brings the Father and the Holy Spirit with Him. And where the Holy Trinity is, all of creation is, and you are surrounded by such beauty and light as you cannot imagine in this life. Your Mother comes as Our Lady of Grace with her hands outstretched. Rays of Light emit from her hands piercing your body, healing you and filling you with graces. This is your inheritance which was poured out from the heart of Jesus on the Cross, when the centurion pierced His Heart with the spear, Into the only pure vessel ready to receive such graces at that time, Your Mother. Now as you pray the Rosary, or even just recite one Hail Mary, you Receive your portion of these graces...."

Medjugorje lifted me up spiritually.  Love to come back again.  The staff both the hotel and guide are very nice with us did a terrific job.  I thank the organiser too.  (Pilgrim)

Oh Lord to be held in Our Mother’s embrace – time is too short in this beautiful place, I don’t want to leave, haven’t had my fill – and need so much more of your infinite grace.  Thank you for another wonderful pilgrimage. (Anon)

My most moving experience of my week in Medjugorje, was my visit to Cenaculo to hear the testimonies of two young men.  Their conversion from drugs and video games addiction and even their struggle with the catholic faith was heart rending.  When their began to experience the peace and love of God they found real souls and gained holy confidence. (Anon)

This is my first trip to Medjugorje.  After a few days, I felt I hadn’t achieved anything due to not feeling any grand sensations or witnessing any miracles.  But towards the end of the pilgrimage, I began to realize that being around fellow Catholics, praying and talking, hearing different stories and experiences, I felt more enthusiastic and passionate about my faith, which were feelings I had lost some time ago.  I’m happy I came and look forward to going home and please God practicing my faith a lot better.  I would love to return to Medjugorje.
